I built my NML operation off logging, I’ve cut something like 750 trees on that play alone (it’s not the one in my posts, that file got corrupted…) - I agree. The reason I cut 8.5s is I can fit two stacks in a 53’ logging trailer, and I’ve tried running 12s and bigger before but they’re just so unwieldy with the garbage log physics… 90% of the time, it’s the perfect amount that I can pick up in one grapple, and baaaarely not be tipping the machine. Using the grapple I use, I cut 2-3 trees (spending on size) - into 8.5m sticks in each pile. ![]() If you’re new to logging and already skidding (initially) with the harvester that’s a good start.
